What a team our school is! Each class harvested a vegetable from the school garden and prepared a dish for The Harvest Luncheon this past Monday. Kindergarten had a wonderful time using spades to dig up and pull out carrots. We learned that the part of the carrot that we eat is actually the root! After picking the carrots, the students washed them. We had several helpful volunteers who peeled our carrots. Then we broke them into pieces and put them into the crock pot to cook! Visitors and the whole school community had a chance to eat the sauteed carrots made by Kindergarten!
